Delivery Driver/HVAC Technician

Job Description:

American Spot Cooling Inc. is looking for a full time HVAC technician in CT. This position will be based out of Bridgeport, CT but will help to service the Greater New York area- including; CT, NY, NJ, and PA.

American Spot Cooling and Power Rental is looking for a full-time Delivery Driver/HVAC Tech to join our team for our Stratford, CT location! This position will be based out of Worcester, but will service all of New England, and into the Tristate area. This position will consist of driving a company vehicle to make deliveries of HVAC and Power Distribution equipment. This position will also consist of maintaining and setting up rental equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery trucks

• Set up and break down temporary HVAC and Power equipment

• Towing machinery

• Light mechanical/repair work

• Perform related duties as required

• Communicate with operations and sales management

• Light paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.

• Build relationships and rapport with repeat customers

• All other duties as assigned

This position will include

• Overnight travel

• On call rotation

• Mandatory weekend work

Candidates must have

• Valid driver's license

• Clean driving record

• Clean record for working in federal facilities

• Willingness to work long hours and overtime as needed.

• Valid DOT medical examiner's card - kept up to date

• Ability to lift 80 pounds

• Must remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate

Experience

• One to three years of driving experience in a 16 foot (total length 25’) box truck.

• At least 1 year of experience in all areas of the trade preferred but are willing to train the right candidate
