Each year, one grocery distributor hosts a charity event for the Special Olympics, where proceeds are donated to the organization. The year end festivity for the fundraiser features many different attractions, such as a car show, chili cook-off, petting zoo, and amusement rides. Most importantly, the event takes an opportunity to honor Special Olympic athletes, both in attendance and not.
For each year’s event, American Spot Cooling and Power Rental is called upon to consistently provide the festivity with rental air conditioning and power. With a total of about 60,000 square feet of tented area, ASCAPR keeps the events going and the attendees feeling comfortable. Between all of the tents there are 21 25-ton rental air conditioners installed over the course of three to five days, along with several hundred kilowatts of power from multiple rental generators. Throughout the duration of the event, technicians monitor and maintain the equipment to keep attendees cool and happy.
This is one of ASCAPR’s most important (and favorite) yearly events. Not only do we demonstrate our ability to provide rental cooling and power service to an event type application, but we also get to help support the Special Olympics and show appreciation for its athletes.
